Delia didn't have anything bad to say about small towns. At most, she'd visit home for about an hour, or half a day at least. However, she had relocated back home after graduation, and after asking to work remotely for her internship. It would definitely save gas money and trips in and out of the city often got monotonous. In the meantime, the redhead was sitting in front of her laptop with a blank Word document in one window with her prompt in another. Her employer was kind enough to not have her follow up on her missing sister story. It was some listicle that was sure to grab an audience's attention: "The Top Ten Cat Photos That Will Keep Those Cortisol Levels Down" or something like that. Feeling something in her throat, she quickly swallowed it down with her nearby water bottle and praised whoever was up there that it wasn't a hair ball this time. It was nice being home, at least for this long.

Avalon's library was one of Azalea's favorite places to be when not at the senior center. It seemed that it was just as quiet and peaceful as it was in Blackpool, but if there was one thing she missed it was the beautiful artwork. Still a library was a library. She managed to get a few books from her list that she needed to rent for her college classes. She noticed a girl with red hair sitting there looking at cat photos, for so it seems. Being the shy type of girl she went back to her books. What was so interesting about cats? She wondered in her head.

As she heard some footsteps approaching her workstation, Delia stopped her typing and looked around. There wasn't anybody else for a bit, so she continued, yet she still wondered who caused the noise. This is dumb, she thought to herself staring at the document, I'm basically just giving these captions. She couldn't complain too much; it may have been dumb work, but it was easy work. Something she could put her own subjective opinion on and her readers could accept it as fact. The deadline wasn't for about a week, so she guess she could have a bit of a break.
She then noticed another girl nearby stuck in her books. "You can sit over here if you want to. There's plenty of room." Delia called to the other girl.

Azalea heard the red headed maiden saying that she could come sit over by her. Indeed there was plenty of room and then some so it wasn't actually bothering the girl. The books were also getting kind of heavy. "Thank you miss, much obliged." The brown haired girl started placing down her books on the wooden table. After all her years going back and forth.
She still couldn't quite grasp how the tables looked less well built, surely there were a few strong enough. Some of these modern one just had metal, thin metal legs. She wondered how they were not tipping over most of the time. Maybe there was a reason why those tables were called cardstock? Hmm best to analyze that issue later.
Azalea took a seat and started to read a bit, usually when she had her face in a book, hell could boil over and she still wouldn't budge. She then remembered the girl was that girl looking at the cats. "Pardon, what's the deal with cats? Might I ask? I sorta couldn't help but pry."

The way the brunette spoke stirred a few questions. It was formal and sophisticated. Delia couldn't get to that level of fancy, even if she tried her hardest. As she got a closer peek at her features, there was something about her that seemed familiar, but not quite. She had asked about her article and Delia was happy to oblige. "Ah! There's a lot of scientific proof that links better moods to looking at pictures of cats... or any cute animal for that level. Cortisol is a hormone that regulates stress so these are mean to... de-stress? It's just a placeholder title for now," She referred to her screen, "and I'll replace it with something snazzier later. Also just look at them and their little faces and paws and I wish my apartment here could allow pets. I'm getting sidetracked and I haven't even asked your name! I'm Delia, by the way. Delia Ryder." The redhead stood up and extended a hand.
"Not to make assumptions or anything, but are you from... over there?"

Azalea was intrigued on what the woman was doing applying text to the pictures, atleast it was something creative to do in this world. It was simple and somehow was just enough for the brown haired girl to find interesting at least mildly. The girl also seemed to know what she was doing and the cats were indeed.... okay they were cute. Azalea always had a certain soft spot for animals though it might be because in her true home world she could often shift into small mythical creatures. "They are indeed... cute, Delia. Azalea. Azalea Graham." When Delia asked her about the other place she knew exactly what happened to her. She just went back to her books. She still didn't feel that she needed to answer something like that, but once again what slipped out was. "Maybe..." Just a simple maybe.

That was a strange, yet still satisfying answer. "It's not a bad thing," the redhead defended, "I've been over there and it's really nice." She had explored a lot of it, but she could only really remember getting attached to a few places, mainly the places she had rested on the quest for Connie. Those were the places she ended up coming back to at the end of the day.
Being in that other world was definitely an escape, and she could assume Avalon was an escape for the fantasy world's inhabitants too. It was definitely cute and no one could deny that. "I mean, there's so much to do and see."

To hear that the cat looking girl had a nice perception of the other world. “Indeed it is. It is a beautiful world and so is this one. I still can’t believe how many titles this world has unlike the other world. This book on a young wizard kid for instance. It’s weird that here they are actually more restrictive to magic. Sorta bossy book. The other world magic is a lot more free. I am glad to hear that someone at least is enjoying that world.” Azalea then caught herself rambling off a bit and blushed a bit. “Sorry about that.” she put her hand underneath her ponytail. “So how long have you been going to that place? Indeed there is.”
