“Barely…..” He just realized he did a mistake. He didn't want people to know about his past either in this world after all it was meant to be an escape. He wasn’t exactly a knight and when he said barely he meant barely. He was still in training and knew how the real knights acted from seeing how they acted in the courts. Sometimes he wondered if knights forgot their purpose that they were meant to protect the queen and aim the kingdom to a new light Somehow…. Sometimes he just wished chivalry still existed when he looked at the other knights, that it wasn’t all for glory. That was at least his opinion and one of the reason why he became a drifter in the city of Avalon. At Least here no one was expecting that much from him. “What do you think of Avalon?”

Barely? That was kind of a confusing reply. But it looked like Zircon wanted to drop the subject, so Ophelia let it go. She knew the feeling of not wanting to talk about something that might be painful, or just downright awkward. Zircon asked what she thought of Avalon and she gave a nonchalant shrug. "It's different. But I like it." At least most of Avalon's citizens were pretty welcoming of strangers. She wasn't sure what regular people thought, those who didn't know what the Magic Realm was. Maybe they thought people like her were clueless tourists.

It seems that was at least another thing the this world drifter had in common with the kind Ophelia. "Yeah it seems to be less.... Well it seems to be calmer. At least here it feels different." It was the best that Zircon, intelligent as he is, could state that. At least here the people are different and you didn't have to prove yourself every second.
He took a sip of his drink. "Hey, bartender another please." he said calmly. He was actually enjoying talking to Ophelia, even if in the real world, it was nice to talk to a person that got his hints that was from home. Most just considered him no good when he interacted with most in this world or the other. It was nice to meet someone who was different. The bartender refiled Zircon's drink.

"Depends on where you go," Ophelia said. "This bar can be quite the opposite of calm sometimes." Almost as if to prove her point, there was another loud cheer from viewers who were watching the game. Granted, it was pretty tame now, but Ophelia had been here once during something called the Super Bowl and it had been total anarchy. Although Ophelia wasn't sure why it was called that. No bowls were ever involved. Zircon's drink was refilled and the bartender seemed ready to ask if Ophelia wanted another one as well. Another beer might be nice, but the mixed drinks here were pretty inventive here too, and cocktails weren't really a thing back in the Magic Realm. Plus, Ophelia had her favorite. "I'll take a Dragon's Breath," she said.

Zircon gave a nod. "That's true." Zircon took another drink of his alcohol drink. The pub and many of the areas of Avalon could end being a little rough at times depends on how people acted and behaved. Heck even he ended up in a few brawls around. As Ophelia asked for another dragon drink, curiosity formed across his mind. It was obvious that she was a human in the other realm. She acted more like one, but heck maybe just maybe it would lighten up the mood if he asked this. "So you seem to like dragon drinks. Are you one?" He took another sip of his silver fox.

"Oh ha ha," Ophelia said sarcastically, although she did smile. "Not me. I'm human in both places." Some might see it as disappointing that she was a human no matter where she went, but Ophelia didn't mind. Dealing with magic powers or turning into an animal on top of her royal duties sounded like too much. Besides, the Magic Realm always tried to have a king or queen that wasn't immortal or all-powerful. Otherwise, they'd rule forever and disrupt the balance. "What about you? Do I need to guess?" she asked.

Zircon didn't really care what Ophelia was. If she was a human that was fine for him, he didn't like to see people as what they were even if he did start up the conversation this way. To his view, being human wasn't that bad. Living forever can be a pain and every elf knows once in a while you got to grow accustomed to loss at one point in the game. "A human, that actually fits you." Zircon didn't mean it as an insult though his words might carry off that way. Ophelia had an air about her that was well enticing to say the least. He did like her company, which was a rarity in most cases. "You can guess if you want.... I wouldn't mind." It was only fair since he guessed what she was.

The bartender passed Ophelia her Dragon's Breath and she took a sip. The drink had a burn to it, but it wasn't unpleasant. She liked her stuff to have a little bit of a kick to it. When it came to guessing what Zircon might be in the Magic Realm, she gave a quiet "Hmmm..." as she thought. Honestly, trying to guess what Zircon was in the Magic Realm was kind of a shot in the dark. She didn't have much to go on, aside from him knowing a bit about knights. But still, she tried to think for a moment before guessing. "I'm gonna say...fairy?"

Zircon nearly chocked on his drink. "Half.... Half right." he tried to get his breath back. "Not entirely all right, but half in a way depends. I'm half light elf and half cait sith actually." Zircon stopped himself he knew that whoever from that other world would realize his fairy cat half was actually bad luck. "Yeah.... So guess like I owe you a drink for guessing half right, in a way." Trying to clear the air from his little choke. He probably shouldn't have started to drink when she was guessing. Not the best idea.

An elf and a cat sith? That was an interesting combination. Half-breeds weren't rare in Avalon, although some were disapproved of more than others, but that was the first time Ophelia had heard of a combo like that. Then again, with all the possibilities out there, you were bound to run into a new half-breed fairly often if you traveled around Avalon enough. Ophelia had seen people that were part demon and mermaid, witch and vampire, nymph and human, the list went on. Zircon considered her guess close enough though, saying that he owed her a drink. "Might have to take you up on that another time. This will be enough to tide me over tonight," she said, taking another drink of her Dragon's Breath.

Zircon took a deep breath and nodded towards the blonde Ophelia. "Agreed. Just let me know if we run into each other again, either here or there. You pick." he said calmly glad that Ophelia took up his offer. He took another sip of his drink and began to look at his surroundings a bit. There was an elderly man nearly passed out and the bar keep seemed to be busy doing other things. It was indeed interesting this little pub. He actually didn't mind Ophelia knowing the truth about his species. It just felt calming.

"I'll make a mental note to be on the lookout for any elf/cat siths when I get back," Ophelia said jokingly. Knowing that, Ziron probably wouldn't be too hard to spot back in the Magic Realm. Ophelia, on the other hand, tended to stick out like a sore thumb if she was running around in her regal attire. If she wasn't going too far, she usually preferred to dress in more common clothes. It made it easier to get around and get things done.

Zircon raised his eyebrow then shook his head with a light laugh. “You do that, Ophelia.” He was sure she could probably find him pretty easily in the magic realm. He was a rarity after all and he was sure that any blonde beauties, hopefully she was a blonde in that world as well. Somehow he couldn’t picture her with any other color hair. “Well hope our paths meet again.”

Ophelia downed the rest of her drink, feeling a bit more relaxed than she had when she'd walked in. Although meeting Zircon had been pretty fun too. It was nice to get to know people without all the curtseying and polite talk that people wanted to do around her when she was doing her royal duties. She hoped Zircon would still treat her the same, even if she was wearing a fancy dress and a crown. "I'm sure they will," she said, giving a little smile before heading out of the bar.
